indiana university-1958

IEP was founded by Mr. Marlin Howard the Senior in 1958. At first, due to technological inadequacy of the transportaion, there were only few students coming to Intensive English Program. This pretty old picture shows, how IU and first IEP class was looking like in 1958. This is elective class of "How to use a Typewriter" lectured by Katherine Vlasov in the IEP. There were neither typwriter, nor a room for these braveheart teacher and her students. However, afterwards they succeed to built a class and buy a typwriter with the donations from government. Today, IEP has changed a lot. They do have many offices, room for lectures, and many students and teachers. :))
