IEP Classes
What are classes like in the IEP? Here are a few pictures of a typical IEP classroom. These photos were taken in Ballantine Hall.
This first photo shows a typical seating arrangement in IEP classrooms - a circle. Students and teacher sit in a circle to make discussion easier. You can also see the desks that are in many classrooms on IU's campus.
The next photo shows a common activity in IEP classes - group work. A small group of students move their desks together to discuss or do an activity. It looks like Amir, King, Madina, and Yi-Niu are talking about something exciting!
The last photo shows Amir giving a presentation. IEP students often give presentations in their classes. Here Amir is explaining something to us about Flickr. You can see that he is using a computer with a projector -- some IU classrooms have this technology available.
